The Church of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, which is in Trafalgar Square, only a short walk from The Strand Palace Hotel, enjoys one of the finest musical reputations in the world. Since 1726 it has played host to some of the greatest musicians; Handel played at St Martin's on the first organ and Mozart is also reputed to have given a concert here.

Their Lunchtime Concerts Series has been running for over 50 years, and it remains one of the most popular and successful FREE concert series in the country. The Theatre Museum's excellent permanent collections include exhibitions on the development of the British Stage and its stars from Shakespeare to the present day, stage models, costumes, paintings, prints, drawings, photographs, posters, props and audio-visual displays, with reconstructions of early theatres including the 1614 Globe, memorabilia of great actors such as Garrick, Kean and Irving and stunning hand-painted robes from Nijinsky's 'the Rite of Spring'. We have a table for ten, and if anyone would care to buy a ticket, please let us know. Quite obviously this is black tie, with decorations worn if appropriate.

One last word – you will all require security clearance to enter the Admiralty Buildings. Whilst we don't expect this to involve much more than a Photo Document such as a valid passport or current Driver's License, if it does we will be sure to let you know well in advance.
